Helping people be seen and heard in the public domain.

Building skills, confdence, experience and professional networks
at the places where technology ideas and connections grow.

Who we are

We are a community of over 1100 people—women and their allies—aligned around a single purpose: to help people be seen and heard in the public domain

We get people ready to speak openly on API- and AI-related topics.  At conferences, at meet-ups, and at their workplace.

We organise events that get people networking with intent to make connections, change mindsets, and grow confidence.

Our origins and continued close association with the apidays conference series keeps us focused. We are ultimately aiming towards better balance in the tech industry at large...by working on better balanced participation at external and internal tech conferences.

The research tells us that more women headlining talks and panels, encourages more women to attend. More women attendees means they leave with latest knowledge and better professional networks. Better knowledge and networks mean they and their teams are more likely to be recognised for their successes, their talent, and their teamwork.

Recognition encourages them to both continue and grow in their tech careers, and to be the role models for others to join them.

And become speakers themselves.

This is what we work on. And our members' success stories speak for themselves.

"Many thanks for bringing
GET /Speaking to Barcelona. The first cohort is an amazing group of women. And we have already helped one of them get accepted to a conference!"

"I attended GET /Speaking ... It was energizing, expertly facilitated and a great reminder that we all have something to share, or a story to tell, in our own unique way.

Big thank you to everyone who has made this program possible… I was confident and well-prepared to speak at #apidays last week!”
